You can enter your orders with us over the telephone,
fax line, or internet-based entry. Many orders are
filled by using our access to Arb floor trading
locations. This results in many fills reported
back while you are holding on the phone. Through
the use of electronic order entry, some orders are routed
directly to the filling broker in the actual trading
pit. Rest assured, we pride ourselves that your
order is taken correctly and transmitted as quickly as
technology allows for execution.
If you are a seasonal or system trader, give us the
parameters of your trading system and we will
automatically operate the necessary orders in the
marketplace. We will enter the market, move stops,
execute contingent orders or whatever your trading system
requires for no additional charge.
Through our clearing firm, we offer 24 hour trading in
currencies, metals, energies and access to all foreign
markets. If you need this service, please let us
know at the time you open your account.
We provide charts, quotation services, daily account
summaries, news reports and the weekly economic calendar
to all clients via fax or email. To receive
Saw-Fax, please let us know. Also, daily account
access can be achieved directly over the Internet along
with many quotation and chart services.
If you have a touchtone phone, you can receive 24-hour
quotes by using Infoline. To receive this free
service, please let us know.
If you are looking to be involved in futures but would
like someone else to do the trading, Sawtooth offers
access to professionally managed accounts. These
commodity trading advisors services can be requested and
are only offered with the receipt of their disclosure
document. Sawtooth continues to evaluate and review
all recommended advisors.
Our standard rate is $30 plus fees roundtrip. We
charge $15 to buy and $15 to sell plus fees.
Depending on the exchange, the actual charge will be
between $36 and $39 per contract traded. If you
enter your order directly over the Internet, we charge
$18 plus fees roundtrip. Volume discounts and day
trade commissions are available and subject to
negotiation.
For commodity options, we charge $30 plus fees which
is charged when the order is filled. If the option
premium is $500 or less or you order more than 10
options, the charge is $22 plus fees.
Our minimum to open a futures trading account is
$5,000. If you are trading options or
mini-contracts, the account minimum is $2,500.
Margin rates are set by our clearing firm.
Generally, your account will be carried on exchange
minimum margins unless you are a bona-fide hedger
eligible for hedge margins.
